Examinations

Examination information
The Academic Calendar comprises of two 14 week semesters of 12 teaching weeks, two one-week periods free from class contact and finally a two-week examination period.
During the two-week examination period, Saturdays may be used if necessary. Examinations are held during the day or in the evenings. Examination timetables, with details on venues and time, are distributed to students five weeks before the start of examinations.
Duration of Examinations
Examinations do not normally exceed two hours. There are some exceptions.
Reading Time
There is a mandatory ten-minute reading time for each examination, which does not count as part of the duration of the exam.
Examination Aids
The use of any examination aids (for example, calculators) will be noted on the examination paper, as advised by the examiner setting the paper.
