O Week-FAQ's

Q: Where do I park on my first day? 

A: You can park in any of the Green Student Parking Bays

Q: How do I get a parking permit?

A: If you are enrolled for second semester 2008, your application form will be posted directly to you. There are various options for you to pay for the permit

Q: In what building is Curtin Business School (CBS) situated?

A: CBS is in three different buildings. Different schools are situation in buildings 402, 407, and 408. Make a note of where each school is located. Student Services is in building 407.

Q: How do I get help?

A: Orientation week and your first few weeks at university will probably seem very busy and can be quite daunting. Look out for Orientation helpers – they will be wearing bright yellow vests with "orientation volunteer" and they will tell you where to go.
Remember that Curtin staff members aim to make your transition into university as easy as possible. Student Services in Building 407 will help you with all your queries

Q: Where can I get a program of what is happening in O Week?

Q: Is Orientation week the same for International students?

A: Orientation for international students runs over two weeks. The first week, Prep week includes events and activities solely for international students. The second O week is for both international and local students.

Q: When is the CBS academic session?

A: Each faculty of the university runs a compulsory orientation session. As a Commerce student you should attend the "Getting down to business" session on Thursday 24 July. If your surname from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Q: What happens at the CBS session?

A: At the session you will a lot more about CBS services, like our study support programs including studying overseas on exchange. You’ll also find out how to join the many social clubs on campus. If you’re not sure what area of business you want to major in, stay till the end of the session to listen to key academics from each of the study areas.
