One-to-one consultations

Students can book a 30 minute appointment with a Communication Skills Lecturer to help with study or communication skills, or to discuss the structure, analysis or language/grammar of assignments. Consultations are also available for small groups.

You will need to send your work through before your appointment. Proofread your work on paper before you send it to us, as it needs to be the final version. In the consultation we will highlight areas of grammar or structure for discussion. Note: we do not provide you with a corrected copy of your assignment.

How to book

Book the appointment at least one week before, then send us the assignment the day before we see you. Contact the Centre to book a consultation.

Thesis policy

We can look at part of a chapter of your thesis and provide
guidance on structure and language in a one-to-one consultation.
