Employers look for...
graduates who can apply their studies in the real world
In your third year of study you will do a unit called Business Capstone. In the unit you will apply the knowledge and skills you have learnt and run a simulated (computer-generated) multimillion dollar company. You will experience the day to day running of a company, compete for business with other students and use skills such as decision making, teamwork and client consultation. Assessment in the unit is based on real world business issues. Many units also include real case studies to incorporate current corporate issues into your study.
skills that make you different to others
You will develop professional skills through your course that you will be able to apply to your first job. You'll graduate with proficiency in these areas: - computer information technology ability
- team work
- written work
- time management
- critical and creative thinking
- problem solving
- presentation skills
- international perspectives.
graduates who have taken their degree a step further
Show employers that you extended yourself while at university by joining CBSplus, a voluntary program run on the campus. You will work in teams with local and international students and take part in a range of activities that build cultural awareness, leadership, teamwork and communication skills. All skills that employers value!
graduates with workplace experience
In some of your units you will get work experience through work placements in relevant companies. You can make valuable contacts and include this experience in your job applications.
