From Curtin Growth to Curtin Degree
Many business owners who enrol in the Growth Program are not seeking a formal University qualification. The sole focus of their attention is the further development of their businesses. However, some participants may wish to complement the practical application of new skills, abilities and knowledge offered by the Growth Program with a formal University Postgraduate Award Course qualification. To complete the accreditation component, there is an additional fee of $600 per unit (ie total $1200 for both units). This additional fee for enrollment on the Graduate Certificate in Small Business Growth Management is required for central administration costs.
The Graduate Certificate in Small Business Growth Management (course no. 302125) also carries advanced standing and articulation towards other Curtin Business School qualifications:
- Graduate Diploma in Business
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Master of Leadership and Management (MLM)
- Master of Entrepreneurship (currently being considered)
How does this work?
The Graduate Certificate in Small Business Growth Management involves the submission and assessment of assignments linked to the Growth Program. Growth Program participants are required to submit formal assignments over two x 50 credit point units – Small Business Growth 501 & 502. These assignments relate directly to the development of participant’s businesses during the course of the Growth Program.
Small Business Growth 501 (unit Index Number: 302126)
| No. | Assessment Activity | Percentage |
| 1 | Assignment One | 30% |
| 2 | Assignment Two | 50% |
| 3 | Mentor Report | 20% |
| Total | 100% |
Small Business Growth 502 (unit Index Number 302127)

| 2 | Assignment Two | 50% |

The assignments and presentation listed above are assessed by C4E staff, with Program Mentor Reports being used as evidence of successful learning and application.
