Training
Curtin and the University of Western Australia (UWA) have a joint venture which has created the Australian Centre for Natural Gas Management (ACNGM) through which they deliver executive education to senior managers in the downsteam gas business. The Centre has a five-year contract to deliver training to senior managers in the Chinese gas industry.
Training aims to give managers a good overall understanding of the gas industry, including regulation and competition policy, energy economics, contracts and gas-fired power generation.
The combination of increasing gas use throughout Asia, and increased deregulation/privatisation, require companies and regulators to build new skills. The Centre can meet those needs.
