2008 CBS Postdoctoral Fellow appointment

Curtin Business School (CBS) established the Curtin Business School Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme in 2000 to add impetus to the School’s growing stature as part of a research university.  CBS, in conjunction with the host School/Area supports the appointment of one CBS Postdoctoral Fellow each year.

The objective of the scheme is to attract high quality scholars to CBS, with the possibility of progression to a research/teaching position at the end of the first 3-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship period. More information on the scheme can be downloaded below.

HDR Scholarships

In 2008 CBS is funding 6 new HDR scholarships pa (in addition to Curtin and Commonwealth HDR schemes) by invitation. These will be awarded to 3 domestic students and 3 international students through the EIPRS and APA processes respectively. The EIPRS and APA scholarships are open to both masters by research students as well as doctoral students.

The top 3 EIPRS applicants (international students) would automatically be awarded an international CBSDS (or if the top ranked applicant is also awarded a stipend by the University, a top-up scholarship up to the value of $25,000.00 for that student and full stipend for the 2nd and 3rd placed applicants.)

It is proposed that 3 domestic CBS scholarships, at the current stipend rate of $25,000pa, be offered to qualified students who miss out on an APA because they are not deemed H1 equivalent but are still potentially good researchers.

Further information on EIPRS scholarships can be accessed here and further information on the APA Scholarships can be accessed here. (via Curtin Scholarships)
