The Centre for Innovation in Decision Quality (CIDQ) is a Curtin Business School initiative combining research and practice in the area of Innovation in Decision Quality. CIDQ draws on complexity science for Sensemaking, crucial aspects of Team Capital (encompassing Leadership and the six key Intelligences) and the critical importance of Architecture (systems and processes) to co-create unique solutions.
Focus
Our focus (reflected in the CIDQ framework) is on enhancing Decision Quality with respect to:
- Creativity and innovation in organisations
- Application of decision theory
- Strategy development and resource allocation
- High performance cultures
- Inspiring Leaders to think differently.
Work with clients
Our work with Clients is highly collaborative. It generally involves the co-creation of unique solutions to highly complex and sometimes ‘wicked’ problems.
To address this level of complexity, the overall design for any project brings together a diverse team including expertise in strategic decision making, decision analysis, strategic customer leadership, creativity and innovation, culture change and the use of narrative and storytelling in organisations. Add this to the diversity and expertise of our Clients' Board and Expertise teams we then have a powerful combination of resources working together for a common purpose.
This deep experience, knowledge and diversity combined with a close working relationship focusing on adding value forms the key to the success of all of our projects.
