The Maureen Bickley Centre for Women in Leadership and Management (MBC) was established in March 2008 as a consulting arm of the Curtin Graduate School of Business to deal specifically with the issue of gender equity in and around the workplace.

The MBC works with client organisations to develop and implement sustainable solutions to redress the absence of women from their leadership teams, to identify and remove gendered workplace practices and to develop robust retention and recruitment strategies.

It does this by:

  • Engaging with leadership teams to help translate gender equity concepts into practical actions.
  • Developing and implementing strategic interventions to redress gendered workplace practices.
  • Engaging in consultations with leadership and management teams to disseminate information on topics related to gender equity and organisational change.
  • Convening events to encourage active discourse on leadership, management, gender and diversity in organisations.
  • Delivering executive education programs for women leaders.
  • Providing executive coaching and mentoring to individual men and women leaders as well as to management teams.
  • Working with individuals and organisations to identify, select, profile and place women onto boards, executive teams and selection panels.
