Information Systems Student Experience
Experience what Uni is like, gain valuable industry knowlege and earn credit towards your Curtin Business Degree.
This program, only available at Curtin University of Technology, is a unique initiative for Year 12 Computing and Information Technology students. Students with a ‘B’ average will be invited to join the program.
During the program you will:
- Participate in industry based activities
- Hear from industry leaders
- Network with industry professionals from the Australian Computer Society and the Australian Information Industry Association
- Experience what it is like to be a student at Curtin
- Gain a better understanding of Business Information Systems and technology.
- Meet like minded Year 12 students from other Perth schools.
What is involved?
You will be required to attend twelve weekly three hour evening tutorials and complete assessments. (a mid semester test, a final examination and completion of an industry based case study)
What you will gain
Upon successful completion of this program and if you obtain the requisite TER needed to enrol at Curtin Business School, you will then receive 25 points credit towards the Business Information Systems 100 Unit*.
As well as the opportunity to meet industry professionals and start your career networks, there are also several awards that are on offer to participants in the program.

* You will not have to do this unit again but you will be required to enrol in the Business Information Systems 100 unit and incur the associated HECS liability. The grade achieved in the Curtin Business School Information Systems Student Experience will be held over and recorded at the end of the semester in which you enrol.
